How do I remove a link to a file or folder?
Removing a link will immediately disable links to your file or folder. Anyone who tries to click a disabled link will get an error message.
From the Links page
- Sign in at dropbox.com.
- Click Links.
- Click the X next to the linked file or folder.
From the main page
- Sign in at dropbox.com.
- Under the Shared with column, click the link icon next to the linked file or folder.
- Click Link settings.
- For links to individual files, click Delete link.
- For links to folders, click Remove link.
From the preview page
- Click the link to the file or folder.
- Once you're previewing the file or folder, click the gear icon to open the settings menu.
- Select Remove link.
There is no way to re-enable a link once it has been removed. To share a link to your file or folder again, follow the steps to create a new link .
