Manage who can give access to a shared folder
Dropbox Pro and Business users can control if people with edit access in a shared folder can manage member roles and invite new members. Learn more about shared folders.
Dropbox Pro users
- Sign into dropbox.com.
- Click Sharing.
- Scroll to the Folders in your Dropbox section.
- Click the Share link next to the shared folder.
- Click Folder settings.
- Answer the question Who can manage access to this folder?.
- Click Save settings.
Dropbox Business users
- Sign into dropbox.com.
- Click Sharing.
- Scroll to the Folders in your Dropbox section.
- Click the Share link next to the shared folder.
- Click Folder settings.
- For the question Who can manage access to this folder?, choose anyone on your team with edit permissions or just you.
- Click Save settings.
From your desktop
- Open your Dropbox folder.
- Right-click a shared folder.
- Hover over More…
- Select Manage access…
- In the pop-up window, adjust permissions for people invited to the shared folder.
- Open your Dropbox folder.
- Right-click the shared folder.
- Select Share…
- In the pop-up window, click Folder settings…
- For the question Who can manage access to this folder?, choose anyone on your team with edit permissions or just you.
- Click Save Settings.
