Manage who can give access to a shared folder

Dropbox Pro and Business users can control if people with edit access in a shared folder can manage member roles and invite new members. Learn more about shared folders.

Dropbox Pro users

  1. Sign into dropbox.com.
  2. Click Sharing.
  3. Scroll to the Folders in your Dropbox section.
  4. Click the Share link next to the shared folder.
  5. Click Folder settings.
  6. Answer the question Who can manage access to this folder?.
  7. Click Save settings.

Dropbox Business users

  1. Sign into dropbox.com.
  2. Click Sharing.
  3. Scroll to the Folders in your Dropbox section.
  4. Click the Share link next to the shared folder.
  5. Click Folder settings.
  6. For the question Who can manage access to this folder?, choose anyone on your team with edit permissions or just you.
  7. Click Save settings.

From your desktop

  1. Open your Dropbox folder.
  2. Right-click a shared folder.
  3. Hover over More…
  4. Select Manage access…
  5. In the pop-up window, adjust permissions for people invited to the shared folder.

  2. Right-click the shared folder.
  3. Select Share…
  4. In the pop-up window, click Folder settings…
  5. For the question Who can manage access to this folder?, choose anyone on your team with edit permissions or just you.
  6. Click Save Settings.
